Who We Are
We are the law students of the University of The Gambia. We joined Africa in the Moot in 2021 in preparation for our first entrance to the 2022 iteration of the Willem C. Vis Moot. In this 31st edition of the Vis Moot, we are excited to show the international arbitration community what aspiring advocates from The Gambia have to offer!
Isatou Bella Jallow
Isatou Bella Jallow is a Second Year law student at The University of The Gambia.
Jainaba Jamigeh
Jainaba Jamigeh is a third year law student at The University of The Gambia. She is the current head of communications, media and correspondence of the Federation of African Law Students Association-Gambia Chapter.
She has career plans of being a legal practitioner specialized in arbitration, human rights and criminal law.
Mariama Jabbie
Mariama Jabbie is a third year law student at the University of The Gambia. She is currently a committee member of the Public Relations Office of the University of The Gambia Law Students' Association.
Considering the magnificent role of mooting in one’s legal development, she is part of the team that will represent her University at the 31st Vis Moot Competition after an intense preliminary competition conducted at internal level.
Olimatou Senghore
Olimatou Senghore is a third-year law student at the University of The Gambia. This is her first participation in the William C. Vis Moot and she is passionate about participating in this year's competition. She looks forward to expanding her knowledge of International Commercial Law and Arbitration. Her career goal is to become a legal practitioner specializing in Arbitration, and Human Rights.
Peter Adoh Che (Coach)
Peter Adoh Che is a Senior Magistrate of the Judiciary of The Gambia and a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of the Gambia. He is the Chairperson of the Moots and Advocacy Committee of the Faculty, with the mandate to manage Moots and Advocacy activities of the Faculty Law, University of The Gambia.
He was introduced to Afrca in the Moot in 2021. He facilitated the participation of UTG in the 29th and 30th Vis Moot Competition.
He looks forward with optimism the participation of UTG in 31st Vis Moot Competition.
