Who We Are
Strathmore Law School is a private law school located in Nairobi, Kenya which opened its door in 2012. They are one of the founding members of Africa in the Moot and began competing in the 2019 Vis Moot Vienna.
Sheena Kuchio
Sheena Kuchio is a 2nd year LLB student at Strathmore University. She is interested in IT law, ADR and most importantly always learning new skills and subjects. The first time she interacted with Vis Moot, she was an Usher in the Vis Premoot held in Nairobi last year Africa in the Moot. She made up her mind that one day she has to represent her university in the Vis team too, and eventually made her way to this year’s team.
Rahma Sharif
Rahma Sharif is a first year LLB student at Strathmore Law School. She joined the Vis because she is interested in legal researching and writing. As a first year she is also very curious to develop oral advocacy skills through this international moot.
Aasim Aslam
Aasim Aslam is a third year law student at Strathmore university. His interest in law emanates from his interest in justice, and doing what's right.
He particularly enjoys Constitutional law and ADR. Therefore joining this year's Vis moot team gave him the opportunity to further enjoy and explore ADR mechanisms.
Lucy Njau
Lucy Njau is a 3rd year LLB student at Strathmore University.
Her interest in international arbitration began last year, when she took an introduction to arbitration course. Here, she learned about the emerging role of arbitration in the legal world and how it has improved access to justice for many. Inspired by this experience, Lucy made it one of her annual goals to participate in the moot - thus her entry into the Vis.
Lucy aspires to pursue a career in international arbitration and help clients resolve business disputes through arbitration.
Abigael Towett
Abigael Towett is a 3rd Year LLB student at Strathmore University.
She was drawn to the Vis because, in an increasingly global world, international arbitration is an exciting and growing area of specialization for young practitioners.
Abigael intends to teach and research in the fields of Maritime Law, Contract Law and Commercial Law as well as maintain a practice in these fields.
Sanjana Ragu
Sanjana is a 4th year LLB student at Strathmore University. She has been enthusiastic about mooting throughout her law school journey. As she sets to finish her undergraduate degree in a few months, she joined the Vis moot team to conclude her mooting journey with the biggest commercial arbitration moots. She hopes that this would be a memorable learning experience.
