Who We Are
We are the law students of the National University of Lesotho. We are here to bring our flair to the Willem C. Vis International Vis Moot Competition and shine on the international stage like no other! This opportunity excites us as we are finally lifting our noses from the books and going forth to practice international commercial law and present it among top academics and professionals in international arbitration and commercial trade law. We look forward to the experience and the journey that lies ahead of us.
Meet the Team
Lerato Molati
Lerato Molati is a 21 year old 3rd year law student at the National University of Lesotho. She is a published author, poet and performer. She is also a debator and a mooter within the University, and has participated in a number of competitions both locally and internationally, the most recent being the Alfred Deakin Moot Competition. She aspires to pursue a career in International Commercial Arbitration and believes this platform is one of the best ways to build a strong foundation and understanding of arbitral matters. She hopes this will also play a crucial role in improving her drafting and advocacy skills among others.
Tlhohonolofatso Nkhooa
Tlhohonolofatso Nkhooa is a 3rd year law student at the National University of Lesotho who has participated in the Alfred Deakins moot court competition in the year 2022. One of her aspirations is to specialize in International Commercial Arbitration and the spectrum of Web 3.0 disputes. The VIS moot court competition is an opportunity that has all the necessary elements to build a solid foundation for any prospective lawyer interested to be part of this dispute resolution method hence her participation.
Keneiloe Elizabeth Kompi
Keneiloe Elizabeth Kompi is a 3rd year law student, at the National University of Lesotho. Her participation in the Alfred Deakin Moot Court Competition sparked her profound interests in commercial law which also inspired her participation in the Vis Moot. Through this competition, she hopes to refine her oral advocacy skills and use them as a ladder to becoming the best commercial lawyer she could possibly be.
Refuoe Moses Phatsoane
Refuoe Moses Phatsoane is a 2nd year law student at the National University of Lesotho. He has participated in school competitions ever since high education to University level. In his first year at the National University of Lesotho he participated in Alfred Deakin Moot Competition. He believes full competence lies sorely in extra-curriculum activities and looks forward to achieving the highest level of mooting and practical skills as a compliment to mandatory courses he is studying at the National University of Lesotho. He believes this is the only way to achieve his long-standing goal of becoming the best lawyer at practice. Vis Moot Competition is one of the first steps to open this horizon.
Nthati Maria Shao
Nthati Maria Shao is a 3rd year law student and is pursuing a career in law. She has participated in debate competitions and the Alfred Deakin Moot Competition which enacted her love and interest in International Commercial Arbitration. She is a God-fearing, care-free female, who loves novels and movies but most importantly is a foodie.
