Who We Are
Having previously achieved success in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) moot competitions, particularly reaching the top 16 in the Deakin Moot, the National University of Lesotho team enters the 31st Vis Moot with a strong foundation. Their past accomplishments demonstrate their competence in navigating complex legal scenarios and their ability to present compelling arguments in a competitive environment.
As representatives of the 'kingdom of sky,' the team is eager to not only participate but to excel on the international stage of commercial arbitration. The Vis Moot offers a platform for the team to showcase their legal acumen, engage with global peers, and contribute to the development of international arbitration jurisprudence.
The National University of Lesotho team is driven by the desire to uphold the highest standards of legal advocacy and hopes to make a lasting impression during the 31st Vis Moot, solidifying its reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the field of international commercial arbitration.
Meet the Team
Khalalelo Jaase
Khalalelo Jaase is a 5th and final year law student at the National University of Lesotho. Khalalelo is eagerly preparing to embark on her legal career and her passion for international sales law has led her to join the challenging world of international arbitration moot competitions. Khalalelo recenty participated in Alfred Deakin International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition where her team made it to the top 16. With a particular fondness for private international sales law, she is on a mission to deepen her understanding and contribute to this fascinating field. She hopes this competition will greatly foster me into excellence in the field of private international sales.
Lindiwe Thelma Nzeku
Lindiwe Nzeku is a fourth year law student at the National University of Lesotho. She recently participated in the Alfred Deakin Moot, where she ranked amongst the top five oralists out of 110 speakers. Lindiwe also received the Highly Commended Award for her oral arguments. She has a strong interest in international commercial law, and believes that her participation in the Vis Moot will help her develop the skills necessary to become a successful advocate in the field.
Lintle Lillian Ralikomiki
Lintle Ralikomiki is a 4th year law student at the National University of Lesotho. She has participated in the Alfred Deakin International Commercial Arbitration where her team made it through to top 18. This experience has sparked Lintle’s interest in International Commercial Arbitration. She hopes to gain more experience in oral adovacy and knows knows that Vis will help her develop the knowledge that is needed to be successful in the field of Commercial Arbitration.
Ramosa William Makara
Ramosa Makara is a 4th year law student at the National University of Lesotho. He participated in the Alfred Deakin ICA moot, where his team ranked 18th. The Willem C. Vis international Commercial Arbitration Moot competition provides a mode for him to have a deeper insight into International Commercial Arbitration. This will also provide him with another opportunity to better his oral advocacy and writing skills.
Keneiloe Kompi (Coach)
Keneiloe Kompi is from the National University of Lesotho, currently in 4th year of her LLB Bachelor's degree. She is interested in international trade law and arbitration. She serves as a permanent adjudicator of the Debate Council at the University. She also prides herself in being coach of this year's team in the Vis which was inspired by her keen interest in arbitration after she participated in the 30th Willem C Vis moot court competition on International Commercial Arbitration.
